Abena Animwaa Yeboah-Banin is an Associate Professor of communication at the University of Ghana Department of Communication. Her work as scholar, teacher, consultant and advocate straddle the areas of brand communications, media development and gender. She has consulted for several local and international organisations including UNESCO, the Mennonite Economic Development Associates, the Media Foundation for West Africa and the Star Ghana Foundation. She also serves on advisory councils of the Africa Office of the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative, and the International Council of the International Association of Media and Communication Research.
